Vintage Costume Hire started in July 2013 with a launch of a 1920s fashion show at the Angel Hotel in Abergavenny. It drew about 40 people (male and female) with demonstrations on how to put an outfit together,1920s style. Since then, I've dressed couples (ladies and gentlemen) of all ages/sizes for Gatsby functions. Some have won first prize for best 1920s costumes.

 

I've often found that when you're looking for quality 1920s costumes, the choice can be so disappointing. I've seen the terror in some people, and cringes at dressing up! So …at a reasonable price, why not use a bespoke styling service with quality costumes and an authentic vintage look? Costume styling and hire costs range from £25 for a single dress or boating jacket to £60 for full outfits with accessories. This is different from just hiring a dress from a photo; you need to see how you move in it and how it suits your personality.

 

So why waste time looking for that outfit on eBay or the high street, then have it cluttering up you wardrobe? I am available for help for advice on putting a costume together and hiring it with accessories. Vintage Costume Hire is a fun experience. Customers try from a large selection of costumes, in a wide range of sizes without feeling embarrassed about “dressing up”.
